Modelling a mechanical robot :
Planning stage:
-Head

The process :
1.Modelling a head of Vinux-The Robot
             
                                                  
     - Model a basic shape.Create a sphere from Standard Primitive selection.
                                                 

     -Convert the sphere to editable poly.Select the area to be modify and select edit poly from modifier      
       list. Then,using Modify selection,choose extrude and scale in the selected area. 
                     
       
                       
   -The extrude area followed by the bevel process.
   - Then, for the mouth,select the poly to make hole by click Ctrl and select the poly and delete.
   - Select the edge of  mouth,choose chamfer and then extrude out the polygon of the mouth.

                      

   -For the eyes of the robot,first select the polygon to be modified by extrude,bevel and chamfer  
     modifier.then create a big box ,scale it  and  on top it create a small box as the pupil for the eye of the  
     robot. Select the eye and clone it by right clicking on it.
   - By using the same method, create sphere from Standard primitive selection and extrude the object while        scaling it .


2.Modelling the body part of Vinux-The Robot.
-Each components for the body are create by using Standard Primitive objects such as Torus and Sphere.
-Then the object have been modified by controlling the gizmo after the polygon be edited and some of the 
  object have been sliced,for example the bottom of the body created by the sphere that have been sliced   
 (remove the top).
 3.Modelling the hand and leg of Vinux-The Robot
  -Basic object from Standard primitive used to model leg and hand of the robot, such as Sphere,Cone and
    an object from Extended Primitive,Capsule.

                    
  -Some of the object have been edit or shaped by changed the object to editable poly.Then  use extrude
    and bevel selection to do the hand and  leg.
  -Next,clone the hand and leg to become pairs.

4.Texturing
    -Select the object/parts one by one and click the object colour and click ok.
     


  - Continue the same method to full body,head ,legs and hands.
   -Select the full part of the robot and then open the Material object to adjust the glossiness,specular  
     level and soften.Get material,assign material to selection and show shaded material to viewport.

-
  -Finally,the output of the rendered robot model.
