With reference to a 3D model that you have created, describe
how you create the model in detail.
1.
First
of all, we must search the blueprint image robot on internet or do by own. The name
of robot that I choose is Blood Asp. And then, we separate the views robot
Blood Asp from the blueprint by using Adobe Photoshop. Open the image in
Photoshop and by using ‘rectangular marquee’ tool select the side view from the
blueprint and press ‘ctrl’ ‘c’ in the keyboard to copy the selection that we
made. Now open a new document by press ‘ctrl’ ‘c’ in the keyboard or we can do
it by going to ‘File > New’ menu. When the ‘New’ dialog box pops up enter
the value of 720 pixels for width and 240 pixels for height. It all depends
upon the size of the blueprint, as you may have to change the dimension for
other blueprints. Make sure that it fits almost perfectly in the new document. Now
just press ‘ctrl’ ‘v’ to paste the side into the new document and save it as an
image file in hard disk. Do the same step for front view.
2.
The
three of methods of modeling that I have used in the modeling task for model
robot, firstly, I have using a ‘spline’. Choose the ‘line’ and then trace on
the front view blueprint of robot. After that, choose ‘modifier’ and click
perspective view in 3D’s max, and choose ‘extrude’ and do what amount I want. When
I think a panel plane is well modeled, I apply the shell modifier and chamfer
it edges, in order to maintain it boundary design lines. The method I use by ‘spline’
for certain part on body of blueprint robot, such as a legs, and it hands. For this
step, I make that model for half body of robot and for another half body (leg
and hand) I just choose ‘mirror’. Secondly, I can use the method by using ‘standard
primitives’ for make model the half body of blueprint robot that I choose. Choose
‘box’ and do on front view and side view. And thirdly, I can use another tools
in ‘standard primitives’ and do for half body and make mirror for one other
part body.
3.
I
map textures on my model by using the texturing simple texture. I use Photoshop
for editable texture for my model. Creating textures in Photoshop. And then
together with diffuse map also bump map. Using different brushes in Photoshop. And
then, use UV mapping an object in 3DS Max.
