QUESTION 1 :
First I search to
the google to make a reference. Then, I have to use Adobe Photoshop to make
sure all view of my model at the same size. After that, I open 3ds max to do
the modelling. I have to customize the unit set up first before I do my project
and save it. Then I create plane from Standard Primitive Selection. Make sure
the size of the plane and reference’s images is the same. Then I click on
modifier to put the reference’s image on the plane that I have created. Click
Diffuse and then select Bitmap to select the reference’s image. Click Shift and
Drag the plane to copied it to put other reference’s image. Then I start doing
my project.
QUESTION 2 :
Firstly, I created
sphere to create my model’s head. I convert it to editable poly so I can edit
it to shape I that I want. Then I use extrude to create my model’s ears. Then I
use bevel on the top of my sphere to create the shape exactly like my
reference’s image. I just create half of my model because the other side of my
model is the same with my model that I have created. I use Symmetry to reflect te
side of my model that I have created.
QUESTION 3 :
Finally process of
my robot is map texture. I just press “M” on the keyboard as a short key. So
chose metal in shade basic parameters. I also edited Specular and glowliness to
make it better and shining colour. We can put anything number in there. I use
swirl on my model’s body to make it better look.
