1) The steps for preparing reference images for my robot are
I try to find robot reference from internet then I modify my robot using my own
creativity then I draw three sides of the robot that is front, side and back.
After that I transfer it to adobe Photoshop then I adjust the brightness and
contrast so that it will be easy for me when I import to 3d max to create my robot.
After that I also check whether the height are same or not using ruler in adobe
Photoshop.
2) The three methods that I choose to model my robot are
basic shapes that in standard primitive that is box to create my robot body, head and leg. Then
I set parameters to give correct size to the box. Then I reshape the basic
shapes by converting to editable poly then choose polygon and vertex. Other
than that, I used Extrude, bevel to reshape my robot head, hand and leg and smooth
tool to smooth my robot body from modify list to reshape my robot.
3) For the texturing my robot I used color from basic color
tool to insert color to my robot. Then I press ‘M’ to open material editor to
insert softness and glowing effect.
