Process model a Mechanical Robot.
1.SETTING BLUEPRINT
First before we start a modeling process, we must set up a blueprint as a reference. Before we start modeling in 3Ds max please check a resolution and size of image before setting.

2.MODELLING A HEAD
First I make a circle at right view and scale the circle to see the same size. Put the circle at the head robot and click alt+X for making the circle as a transparent. Then I click to modifier and go to the hemisphere and the circle be a half. Go to the half of the circle or now it's been a hemisphere and just right click then convert to editable poly. Then just click clone and include both for be a fully head.
3.MODELLING A BODY PART
For the body part, first I create a line in front view and adjust it in the modifier spine list and after that click in modifier box and select exclude modifier.Then I use modifier symmetry and right click and choose clone to clone the body .The I use mirror to make a clone robot change position.

Go to the Modifier List and then choose Extrude to extrude the shape of the hand.
creating a full hand by line and use the same step with extrude to extrude the shape of hand.
Use clone and then click mirror for get a hand left side.
to make a body part of robot its a same step make a line then extrude the
body .After that clone and mirror the body to get a left body.
make a leg of robot with same step like hand and body part.

For texturing, click 'm' or material editor and just used the basic colour.
A model of the robot is now done.
