Question 1.
Firstly ,find a reference in website which
is based on robot ore mechanical model .The reference must be in blueprint or
in different view which is the front, side and back view. The blueprint image
must be in JPEG or PNG format. In order to adjust the stroke or line brightness
in, put the image reference in Adobe Photoshop. In photoshop ,to adjust the
brightness of image and the stroke, click the Image > Adjustment and then
choose brightness and contrast option. Then use Ruler option to adjust the
image accuracy .After that ,crop the image and put in the new page. Save the
image in JPEG or PNG format.
Question 2.
After finish the step on editing
the image in Adobe Photoshop, open Autodesk 3Ds Max to start the project. First
thing first, make a new folder to save the project. After that, I must decide
the unit metric that I have to use. I choose Centimeter. The method that I have
use to make robot modelling are plane. To make plane. First thing first is
select standard primitive option and choose plane. Then, make the model using
the plane as the reference showed. Second method that I have use is box. Select
the option from standard primitive option and simply drag the box into the
workspace. To edit and make the shape from the box, I convert the box to
Editable Poly. To make the shape, there are various selection that can be
choose such as vertex, edge, polygon, border and element. The third step that I have use is bevel and
extrude.
Question 3.
To make the texture or to put
colour onto the model, I use material option. First thing first, press M button
to call out material option. After that,to choose the color to put onto the
model, select the option from Shader basic Parameter and choose phong. After
that, choose the colour from phong basic parameter. After that, drag the
material and put it onto the model.
